Online Play: when scoring a goal, it should be the goal scorer to decide to watch the replay or not, not the opponent because there have been some nasty goals online that can’t be seen!! It’s frustrating!!
It would be nice to be able to do the skill trick better like being able to run up to the ball and do a move instantly instead of controlling the ball first then the move, just make the skill stick more realstic.
I have no complaints about FIFA 08 just make it better, it is an amazing game, I AM AN ADDICT!

I think more real stadiums like Celtic park, Goodison park, Villa park and stadium of light. More realistic moves like free kicks with ronaldo, more fans singing real songs.
then more realistics transfer for example that lampard should join man utd thats not make sens.

im thirteen and have always played fifa over PES. you should be able to:
custom make your own stadiums
have more realistic player faces, e.g. david wheater and manuel pogatetz dont have full sets of hair!
more realistic attributes
ref and linesman on the pitch
more tournaments such as the world cup, the world club cup and the african cup of nations
perhaps womens teams
the russian championship so that you could be zenit st.petersburg
the be a pro should be (like someone else said) start off as a rookie at a lower league team and gradually grow into the greatest
more international teams like the african ones
wider range of authentic boots and balls
when creating a team, put on sponsors and design stadiums and kit makers badge like the nike logo
with these changes, and other peoples, fifa would truly be the best game on earth!

OVERALL GAMEPLAY:
FIrst I want to say that the gamespeed is terrific very realistic which is what I love about fifa games. All my suggestions add to this concept of realism.
1. add more cutscenes of various ref and player reactions to events in the match
2. signature footballs for specific tournaments (ex. uefa cup, champ’s league)
3. weather effects inherent or common in different footballing countries also depending on time of year
4. show available subs @ starting line-up screen
5. appropriate night & dusk matches
6. lay-off man on free kicks like ‘07
7. button to change kick takers and throw in takers rather than having to go to the menu
8. love the historic and trivial commentary of Martin Tyler and Andy Gray, keep adding and keep what was in 08 so you don’t have to redo, this stuff is great
MANAGER MODE:
1. Be able to quit your job and join a new club (sometime around or after transfer window), however new club would be clubs that are not doing well no matter team prestige level or quality
2. Have commentary be more specific about what cup tournament you play in and mention it (ex. champ’s league, uefa cup, english cup, coppa del rey, etc. )
3. night matches for champ league and others
4. players with international duty leave but also gain more experience than normal
5. able to look at the potential signings and players in transfer market even if not not in transfer window
6. more stadiums instead of estadio de las artes
7. varied fan flags or wearing of team colors
8. fans get up and celebrate goal
9. player jumps into crowd when scoring a goal
10. more scenarios that you have to respond to
11. presentation and lifting of trophies at end of tournaments
12. lively crowds singing specific songs
13. see linesman when flagged offside and show 4th ref when substitutes coming on

Following on from my previous post.
In player career mode, when you reached a certain age (or stage) in your career you can apply to be a manager of any club (including the club that you currently playing for, therefore becoming player/manager) that has a vacancy then it’s upto the club if they want to take you on.
Include more national teams making qualification more in-depth.
Create you own kits, players, teams & stadiums.
Create an indoor league like on FIFA RTWC 98

i would like to see a more realistic pace of play. if you watch real football, you notice that the defenders dont really apply direct pressure until the attacker is seen as a true threat. the offense has time and room to move the ball around. in fifa, pressure is applied from one end of the field to the other. sure this makes sense, but not in a football way.

Passing: the direct passes are fine, but the through balls and flighted through balls need work. Somewhere around 90% of the time, my through balls go straight to the defender. Sure they were headed towards my guy, but there happened to be several defenders in the way that the receiver failed to notice. Players should react to the ball, not be governed by pre-set animations.
Off-ball Movement: I don’t remember which FIFA it was, but you were able to control, to an extent, players off the ball. I think this has a direct influence on passing as well. I notice a lot of times a play where say, a real Drogba would make a slanted run just onside, whereas a FIFA Drogba will stand in one place when a give-and-go would work perfectly.
Emotion: Soccer is one of, if not the most, emotional games. When I play with my friends we get intense to the point of jumping and screaming when we finally get a goal. I feel like the game itself lacks the emotion. The fans should be much more intense. In some cases, like say, a Celtic v Rangers game, the fans should be borderline uncontrollable. Also, players should respond to that emotion. The play should be more aggressive in cup matches. As a side note, I remember in Winning Eleven (or PES, whatever you prefer) the players actually moved their faces. This little detail goes a long way in respect to having the players actually be IN the game as opposed to just playing on the field.

i think the new version of fifa should include some scottish stadiums such as Celtic park,Ibrox and Hampden. Celtic Park for example is the second biggest club stadium in Britain and the Biggest in Scotland therefore only seems fair to include a stadium of such prestige. Also there is the factor that Hampden park is the stadium of the Scottish national team and should be recognised. Finally Ibrox is a stadium which holds rangers football club the uefa cup finalists of 2008 there again at least deserves a spot on Fifa 2009. This is exactly why some of the scottish stadiums should be included like the examples above in the new Fifa 2009.

Firstly the substitute bench. When a player get subbed on fifa 08, they walk into a stadium wall.
2. Linesman and referee (visible)
3. Contorlable keeper?
4. Have a trophy presentation? fifa 08’s wasnt that good on the pitch and the p[layers jumping around.
5. The players reactions in tournaments such as semis and quater and finals, they a re ll the same as normal league matches.
6. Fans more realistic
7. More international teams like fifa 98. Be able to pick teams from each continent.
8. Maybe make the lower league teams players look more like them
9. Automatically go into ecc efa rather than win the season and then get entered.
10. exchangable transfers. You know like one player and money for one player or sumin.
11. BE ABLE TO RETRIVEV PLAYERS OUT ON LOAN IF THERE ARENT ENOUGH FIT PLAYERS IN THE SQUAD.
12. Pre season time.
13 Be able to see players in training in the manager control center.
14. Serious injuries to be carried off on stretchers and add, if you already haven’t, broken legs ankles as injuries, but not make te injury prone players more likely to break bones.
15. make the passing that extra bit quicker.
16. Goalie reflexes, make them better???
17. Youth Academy as well as scout.
18. Keep staff upgrades.
19. Make the free kciks easier to cont
20. I think the graphics were ok in 08 but yur gonna make them better in 09 anyway.
21. Make your own Womens game Like Fifa Ladies 09 or something rather than the whole game. Make onlineplay more eciting by adding the ladies teams and mix the teams.

I know there’s already a career mode on FIFA but that is if you want to be the manager. My main idea would be to have a player career mode whereby you live the life of a footballer. You decide at what stage you want to begin your career i.e. Promising youth player through to world famous superstar. Clubs can buy you or sell you, managers can drop you to the reserves if you’re not playing well & likewise pick you for the first team should your performances improve. You could get an international call up & play in friendlies & major tournements. Hire an agent, get boot & kit deals, have a say in you own contracts, get scouted by a bigger club & get that dream transfer. The possibilities are endless.
I would like to see the non-league sides involved (i.e. Conference North, South & Blue Square Prem) & therefore making the FA cup more realistic.
Create team: whereby you create everything from building your club up from scratch & develop it into a big club.
Create your own kit (incuding sponsors) for all teams included.
More realism. See the players line up to receive the trophy & runners up medals.
More detail on the shirts. i.e. league badges on the shirts which change when a team is relegated or promoted.
Referee & Linesmen & show them interacting with the players more.

- Centre-backs should come up for all corners and in-direct free-kicks, except if it’s late in the game, and only have a narrow lead (ie: 2-1)
- Scorers should not be congratulated be defenders, but the closest player to the goal-scorer (ie: his strike partner)
- Need to be variety of free-kicks (ie: Ronaldo style)
- When the opposition have a throw-in near your area, they should throw the ball into the box, not back up the pitch
- There should be a designated vice-captain, and club-captain, so that the captaincy is given to one of these players instead, when the original captain is injured and/or substituted. Currently it is given to his substitute, which is unrealistic
- Create a Stadium
- Create a Kit
- Insert your own picture
- Create a player should allow unlimited options, allowing you to make the player as good as possible, rather then be restricted by having to gain “points”
- Multi-player Training session
- Up-to-date transfers, relegations, promotions, cup-winners etc should be included in downloadable updates
- Players squad numbers should never be changed just because a player with the same squad number is transferred in. The lowest number should be allocated, which can then be edited later

I would liek to see a more in depth Superstar Mode like they have in madden but of course not exact. You were on the rigth path with co-op mode but i believe a superstar mode would be better for a game such as this also i am a keeper and the disrespect you shot keepers is horrible like only allowed to be a striker,midfielder, or defensman I mean come on.

Hi, think twice before hosting 2010 world cup in South Africa. It will be chaotic.

It would be great if you could include each continents version of the champions league, then have the winners play in the world club championships.
Also if you could make more teams/leagues available to download from the internet and perhaps allow the user to build/modify stadiums in the managerial mode.

The new Fifa should have: diving, alot more tricks(like putting it through the players legs), sliding of players when the field is wet, have a ref on the field, awards like player of the year, those who are connected to the internet can update to real life happenings like transfers that happened after the game was released etc, players having input to transfers(whether they want to go or nt), keep one control configuration

Wait until all the transfers are completed in summer instead of making people search through the game and do the missing transfers it’s really annoying and spot out the newly promoted teams to league two from the blue square conference because there quite a few youngsters in the teams that wouldn’t want to be missed out in. you should make game play speed options slow normal and fast like in fifa 07 include the
champions league manager mode for national teams please include the World Cup its the most important
soccer cup and you guys dont have it!!! please let us mix up the uniforms for example manchester united
sometimes wear black shirt but white shorts and white socks please let us make players as good as we want them
to be let us put pictures into the game and make the player look like us include more shoes options and
new uniforms and when new uniforms and shoes come out please make an online update let us save replays
of amazing goals be a pro mode should be made a carrer mode where you start of as a rookie then you
control your player play well and hope that a better team signs you then if you are good enough you play
for your national team just as a real life professional soccer player go from rookie to best player in the world

Could you guys include Egypt as one of the national teams? And if you’re planning to feature any classic players could you please add Eusebio, Dino Zoff, and Abedi Pele? Also, when you’re doing substitutions, make it look like they’re coming back to the bench and make the selected substitutes (and possibly the manager and staff) visible on the bench.

You should start from scratch in fifa 09 for ps2.
1- The graphics must b improven.
2- The jerseys must be more precise (original numbers, not those fake ones that you make).
3- Player faces more realistic.
4- Skill moves more realistic, because it seems like the players go in slow motion, while the COM stays normal.
5- In MANAGER MODE the tranfers should be more thought out cuse no-one would dare to sell a player who has an OVR 85 or higher or even a player like Bojan that is going to evolve to OVR 90 or something like that.
6- You could be able choose in MANAGER MODE to put a player on the second squad or team B and even experience some youth players but not transfer them to the maine team.
7- The person could be able to particepate in the training scheduled in MANAGER MODE.
There are more things but I am too lazy to right them so this is all.

these are all great suggestions, however for the actual game play…here are a few things:
-through balls make the player keep running forward and allows for defense to intercept it on the ground almost every time. you should change the AI so the forwards will come to the ball instead of just keep running aimlessly.
-when you bring two defenders to defend sometimes they run into each other…thats ridiculous…so change the defensive AI
-when players intercept the ball or a pass sometimes the touch is ridiculously off…no professional player intercepts a pass and touches it 20 yards away making it go out fo bounds.
-when u r offense and take a corner kick…and the ball is headed out, it doesnt allow for you to change players but only allows the current player to chase after the ball even if there are other teammates around to easily get it
-improve AI so the closest player gets the ball not the one who last touched it…sometiems if a defender intercepts it and touches it away it doesnt allow for a closer teammate to get the ball but makes the defender who touched it last have to sprint towards the ball many times losing possession.
….and i will try and think of some more :-)

the problem is your never listen to what we have to say or you are just to lazy. we’ve been crying for more cinematics and less restrictions on create mode for a long time and our calls still go unnoticed. in pes u can change and edit kits,boots, hairstyles but in fifa all that is restricted to create a player. so pliz ea here my plea and make fifa 09 a complete sim with a few of thes changes.
1] allow us to change the players physique [ronaldo was too fat in both fifa 07 and 08 next gen]
2] more cinematics[ its time you stopped being lazy] eg when a player gets hurt let the medical team and the manager if neccesary come on the pitch and examine him. and then see them take him away and the commentators say sumthing.
3] view what nba 2k7 did with their entrance scene [from the fans to the players wearing tracksuits] wats so hard bout putting that in da intro.
4] more bustle on the sidelines [officials and managers]

I love playing with playersd as the game loads up, but if you have a friend playing against you surely it should be two player, have messi vs ronaldo trying to score first.
