A bit late for Fifa 08 but for 09 my improvements would be:
On Field:
1) Improve the realism, so each player, plays like his stats suggest and not as i found out a 35 yr old out running Henry or a 19yr old more skilful than ronaldo with stats suggesting he would he would be happy if he could trap a ball.
2) When the computer team makes a substitute, make it depending on whats happening in the match, If losing add a striker or attacking midfielder or if winning add a defender or defending midfielder. It feels more like the computer substitutes just for the sake of it, rather than how the match is progressing and this player is normally the player who has been causing you most problems. Increase the number of subs the computer can make to three. Reviews of Fifa 06 and 07 suggested the computers formations will change depending on the match but they still don`t, when i am winning they still play very defensive, they still play 4 at the back instead of 3 with one moving up the pitch to attack more.
Off Field: More depth in management mode, these being:
1) When you first choose the team you will manage first, limit you choice to 10 teams, from the lower leagues. The better you become the better the team you are offered to manage at the end of the season. But still limit it to 10 random teams. I know you will want to manage the team you support i do and this will still happen(you enter the Team you support in the profile screen), but further into the game increasing the lifespan and feeling of achievment.
2) Don`t have all matches playing on the same day, If your team is not playing. This will allow you to watch other games, allowing you to view possible transfer targets.
3) I know each time a World Cups or European Championships come around a game is realeased but it would be really good, if you are became so successfull, why not have the possibility of managing your country (entered in profile screen). Play qualifying matches, Play friendlys, Choose your squad, try and win world cups or european championships.
4) Match attendences should depend on where your team is in the league or cup runs, not the size of the stadium. When i first bought, the team i chose was, starde de reims, i did not realise they played in the starde de France so i was getting a full house (70,000 plus,not sure how many can fill the starde de France). The money was good but where was the realism.
5) Run each season on a day to day basis not match to match. When you first manage a club have a month before the season starts allowing you see your squad and try to sign players if its not very big or strong. Both spanish and italian leagues give you one week before the transfer window closes.

Why not put the Argentinian League?? The best players world-wide come out of Argentina. If you added the value of the transfers of Argentina and Brazil in the last world cup, Argentina’s value was more. The Premiere Division of Argentina is the breeding ground for these players. Why do you think nobody plays FIFA in Argentina?? Everyone in Argentina rather play a modded version of Pro Evolution Soccer/Winning Eleven that contains the Argentine League. Just a suggestion, you could pick up another market if you added the Argentine League. You could also add a few stadiums, like Boca Juniors (which is one of the MOST IMPORTANT STADIUMS in the world) and of course El Monumental (River Plate). I think many people would love to be able to play a game in La Bombonera. Thanks for listening.

make celtic park in the game because
1 celtic have the best support in the world and
2 their should be a couple of other stadiums there
pleeeeezz make at least some good players better in the game because it would make the game better
improve the scouting by making at least a couple of undiscoverd talents at every place
why dont fifa join forces with pro evo and with fifa leagues and licenced players and layout and pro evo’s gameplay it would be the best football game ever, just a thought.
you should be able to create your own boots and stadium and in season you should be able to create your own kit

you guys should add in the next fifa 09 more sotuh american leagues if not at least add the argentinean league im an extremely fan of fifa games. and if you can please add the south american club team tournament

the more u play a player out of position, the better they become at it as they learn more. also be able to negotiate in the off season rather than wait until the start of the next season and only have 2 or 3 weeks
add russian league and ukrainian league cuz they are good leagues that are 9 and 12 best in europe
at they can be out with hurth in more sesons and that canfix them
I want to apologize to all of you, since in my comment 9146 I said ‘PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER had one of the best gameplays there has ever been in soccer’, which it was a mistake, since I meant to say INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTAR SOCCER, that was made by another branch of that same company previous to the Winning Eleven/ Pro Evolution. Actually Winning Eleven 8 was probably the best that could have gotten in gameplay, unfortunately, you have to admit this, there seems as you have no control over your player in FIFA games, once you start running, is your player and so help us God what he does, which gets on your nerves, (for example, you start running and press a passing button, or try to change your player direction and it takes a second or two to react to your command, even if the ball is right there next to your player feet.
Training camp has to be added. Where you add points and improve your player in ACCORDANCE to what you perform in field… ala winning eleven 8 but improved. Of course the RLE CAIMPAING will help a lot since you take your young boys 14 or 15 years old, and train them to the future challange of competing against the Barcelona, or Real Madrid, for example. This is like you start the RLE Caimpaing, in a fictional 2005 so your young team will reach an age where they can start to compete w/the today athletes…only for fun purposes, what I want to explain here is that if you had your RLE in 2008 by the time your team reaches maturity, the TODAY FAMOUS players will be some of the retiring due to the real growth pattern in the Fifa Games and you wont be able to match your choosen and made team against those teams w/big stars.
This is so, because the RLE caimpaing as coach, will start you as a minor league- 1 year must- where you scout and choose players and train them and put them to play, eventually, the team if you are champion (since fifa games offer so many leagues, it would depend on what country u decide to participate), your team gets into the lowest division of that country, you keep on training, and will have to deal with the players leaving, and scouting young players, etc.; to eventually make it into the major division of the country. Of course like I said before, if you are doing so good, you might get the offer of Coaching a National team, where you will have to MAKE the decision of staying w/your team or choosing the big one w/a national team. Of course, since National Teams need results, the International Friendlies might or might not causse so much trouble if you loose, but be prepared if you happen to fail the games in the World Cup qualifiers since you might end up being fired, and searching for another team to coach.

Hi Guys I think you should have real legends like pele,maradona,bergkamp,owairan and daei and try to add saudi arabian league and middle eastern leagues and the manager has a suit and tie on the pitch and please make them shake hands after the match like in real life and even drama on the pitch after a bad tackle i mean like players goin crazy then someone chills it down

- make manager mode more challenging with interviews, YOU NEED A LOT MORE INJURIES TO MAKE IT REALISTIC, fines, etc.
- have at least real stadiums for each league with more for EPL, Bundesliga etc. but have the MCG, Telstra Dome and Sydney Football Stadium for the A-league, and have 3 for every other league.
- you should be able to dive and get punished sometimes for it, you should be able to get more than 3 red cards, should be able to trade in the transfer window all the time – not just once after games – you should be able to trade as soon as the season starts, not just once before the first game
- ALOT more international teams
- MORE PLAYERS — have every half-decent player from every country. it sux that because there are no iranian leagues or no argentinian leagues, you can’t recruit those players…..and top young players coming thru the ranks don’t exist on FIFA 07 Database…Alexandre Pato, Borges, Hossein Kaebi, etc.
- i think fifa needs to have some sort of investment system. like if u select a lower team say in england div 1, even if u win you still dont earn enough money to improve your squad. if your team is successful i believe u should get offers from investors to buy into the team and add to your budget

Im an Australian with Chilean Background, Really happy about the A-League in FIFA 08,
But Please Have the Chilelan international team in FIFA, there are some good chilean players out there.
Also Colocolo, La U, La Catolica, etc. etc.
Also, Maybe you could have the Top 4 or 5 teams of every south american country.
Just like “Rest of the World” but add “Rest of South America”

The Designers should add the USL first divison to the list of leauges in the next FIFA game because if you look at the Open cup standings quite a few USL teams kicked MLS teams butts
- Please add the New Zealand and Dutch national teams.
- I would like to see real faces on players like Klaas Jan Huntelaar, Hedwidges Maduro, Ryan Babel, Maarten Stekelenburg.
- More African national teams. Ghana, South Africa, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo etc.
- maybe some more national teams from around the world like Canada, Trinidad & Tobago, Iraq, Chile and Saudi Arabia.
- Add more stadiums in Premier League (especially Boleyn Ground), A-League, MLS, Scotland and Holland.
- Better scouting and transfers!
- Add World Cup.
- Better goalkeepers.
- nicer boots and hairstyles.
- a more challenging difficulty level and/or tougher opposition.

I would love to see more of south america in general but more specifically about Chile, I’m not asking for the national team because it’s not that good but maybe one or two teams from the chilean league like Colo Colo or the Universidad de Chile.
hi i think the more realistic stadiums with new digital boards not roller ones strikers should be able to go in on the keeper in case u have the keeper spill the ball it does happen in norm football free kicks shhould have bar for power and pic off ball and pointer to where on ball to hit it to score in last few mins or seconds of game the keeper should have option to come up and pos help to score crowds should start ole if team winning and keep posesion proper flags and realistic team shirts for crowds varios weather con rain snow hail driving rain so on scorer name on board and over tanoy the ref should be seen on the pitch as well as the linesman realistic crowd chants ie united road and so on various teams ocasional fight u no it does happen more swere on ball as the new balls move more not just blue moon from crowd which has been used time and time if u dont play as man city it shdnt be heard thanks

1) Madden 07 has a superstar mode, where you are not the whole team but one playeer, and you move from club to club,train and in matches, you choose wether to play as the team or the player,but this should be a different mode to manager mode. 2)Make the game more official.This is what pro evo lacks, so if fifa takes this further it will get better and better. 3)More things like press conferences etc in manager mode. 4)The kits shouldnt look like they are drawn on the players,like in pro evo. 5)More fluent tackling and dribbling 6) Better ball physics,like when a player is running with the ball it should look like its not part of him,andit could be made more fluent when it leaves the players possession, like a pass,shot, cross or dispossession.
I know its a little late but please add new soccer shoes.

Dear fifa 08 developers. I agree with other fifa fans on the inclution of a team bench and strecher. Since the 2010 world cup is in South Africa why not include a few African leagues with the South African leauge included?

In previous versions of FIFA videogames, i’ve noticed the steady decline of the officials in the game – meaning, the referee and linesmen. In later version of the games you only see them when the player commits a foul or gets sent off. Please add all officials to the game. Also, please have the field cameras (as well as the sideline papparazzi) follow the player(s) as they get close to them.
how bout adding cleats in create a player that are real and more detailed. im tired of the same looking cleats witha diff stripe color. id like to see predators, vapors, total 90s etc.
