The Journey is a single-player story mode in FIFA for PS4, Xbox One and PC where you take on the role of Alex Hunter and guide him to make his mark in the biggest football clubs in the world.

The Journey has been introduced in FIFA 17 as a new story mode in FIFA game for the first time.
FIFA 17 - The Journey
In FIFA 17 The Journey mode, the player is able to select any Premier League club to play with 17-year-old Alex Hunter for at the beginning of the season. The player can play in an upfield position, RW, ST, LW and CAM only. The story mode also features a dialogue wheel where you choose dialogue options and choices to make decisions in the game. Alex Hunter's grandfather is former English striker Jim Hunter, who scored 22 goals in the 1968-69 season. Under his grandfather's guidance, Alex's life goal is to play as a footballer in the Premier League.
FIFA 18 - The Journey: Hunter Returns
The Journey game mode continues with Alex Hunter in FIFA 18 and it is called "The Journey: Hunter Returns". After a breakthrough first year in the Premier League in FIFA 17, the whole world is talking about Alex Hunter. He is back for a second season and, following a tumultuous transfer saga, he has the chance to compete at some of the biggest clubs in world football: FC Bayern Munich, PSG, Atletico Madrid, and LA Galaxy.
